Here at HHHunt, we empower our team members to improve the world and how people live. Across the southeast, we recently partnered with organizations like Able to Serve, the YMCA, ToolBank, FeedNC and more to live out our brand promise of being an Engaged Community Partner. Check out the impact our team members made in their local communities.
Abberly Solaire team members recently partnered with Able to Serve and attended their 20th Annual Banquet. Able to Serve is fully funded by the local community in Garner, NC and does not take any governmental funding to run their organization or programs. Their mission is to equip adults with disabilities to be independent and connect them with opportunities to serve others in their community. Abberly Solaire is passionate about their partnership with Able to Serve, and one of their residents attends their programs and volunteers with this great organization. Throughout their partnership, our team members have seen Able to Serve’s program grow to 62 people and Able to Serve’s growth goal is 150 by the end of 2024. Abberly Solaire not only attended the banquet but was a part of the night by donating over $300 worth of fall decor items and Starbucks gift cards into a silent auction basket. We’re so proud of Abberly Solaire and their partnership with Able to Serve!
Abberly Place and Abberly Solaire team members participated in HHHunt Apartment Living’s “Day of Giving” as a part of Employee Appreciation Week by partnering together to volunteer at the Poole Family YMCA in Garner, NC, where they helped facilitate the preparation of the pool deck for the upcoming winter months. The team worked together to move all the chairs and tables to one location, pressure-washed the pool bathrooms, walls and lifeguard chairs, cleaned up rust spots on the concrete and more. All of these projects helped Poole Family YMCA winterize their facility. The Poole Family YMCA opened in March 2018 and serves the Garner, NC, community, providing group exercise classes, strength and cardio equipment as well as free weights, a gymnasium, an outdoor pool, and many other activities to help keep the citizens of Garner fit and healthy. We love seeing our HHHunt Apartment Living communities team up to be Engaged Community Partners!
“Our team always looks forward to helping our Community Partner, the Poole Family YMCA, when we can and to do so in collaboration with the Abberly Solaire team as well made for a fun and productive partnership for all involved,” Lauren Booker, Community Manager, Abberly Place.
Abberly Grove team members recently partnered with the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina by volunteering in their facility to help package meals for those in need. The Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina has provided food for their friends and neighbors facing hunger in 34 counties for over 40 years. Their mission is to work daily to provide food to people in need while building solutions to end hunger in our communities. We love the work that this organization is doing, where one volunteer helps provide 130 meals. Our Abberly Grove team members sorted through produce and ensured quality food items were kept. Way to go, Abberly Grove! With nine team members in attendance, they were able to provide over 1,100 meals!
Our Abberly Green team partnered with FeedNC in Mooresville, NC. FeedNC impacts 25 towns across four counties with a mission to create connections to food, education and resources as a catalyst for change. They reach thousands of families with their innovative programming. While at the new facility, our team members visited their new facility and assisted the staff in keeping the store organized, assisting customers and returning carts. This brand-new facility is surrounded by beautiful grounds, which include an expansive garden. Abberly Green also got a tour of the store and their restaurant, which is open to the public! We’re so proud of Abberly Green and this partnership with FeedNC. If you’re in the area, check out the FeedNC restaurant!
Our Richmond Construction team members with HHHunt Homes recently partnered with Richmond ToolBank. Richmond ToolBank lends tools and equipment to community-based organizations and volunteers. Our team members were able to help Richmond ToolBank out by prepping lumber, cutting the pieces to select sizes and bundling it in packages for their other volunteer groups to build and assemble picnic benches and Adirondack chairs more easily. Once assembled, the picnic benches and Adirondack chairs are then donated to public parks and schools in the Richmond, VA, area. Great job to each team member for their hard work with ToolBank!
HHHunt Homes team members in Raleigh were Engaged Community Partners by partnering with Inter-Faith Food Shuttle. Inter-Faith Food Shuttle serves seven counties in North Carolina. It has implemented programs that support low-income families living in food deserts without adequate access to nutritious food and without the income to purchase healthy meals. Through their work, they are living out their mission to feed their neighbors, teach self-sufficiency, grow healthy foods and cultivate innovative approaches to end hunger.
Our team members spent their time packing grocery bags and delivering them to seniors in Wake County, NC. A total number of 50 meals were packed and delivered to two apartment communities. We are so proud of our HHHunt Homes team members for partnering with such a great organization and impacting their local community.
Abberly Village team members recently partnered with PETSinc, a non-profit, no-kill animal rescue serving the midlands of South Carolina. They place over 2,000 animals into adoption or temporary foster homes each year, with their shelter only able to shelter up to 75 homeless animals at any time. With an upcoming fundraiser for PETSinc, the team spent the day re-painting a fence on the property. This project helps make the shelter look its best for its event in hopes of raising money to keep supporting this volunteer-only organization. We’re so proud of the work completed by the team!
Our Richmond area Human Resources (HR) team members recently partnered with The Doorways. This non-profit provides lodging and support for patients and their loved ones who need to be in close proximity to the hospital but not far from the feeling of “home.” The HR team members bought food supplies and utilized The Doorways kitchens and additional pantry items to make homemade chicken soup and egg salad sandwiches for the on-site guests. Our team members helped The Doorways in their mission to provide a healing and emotionally supportive environment to those staying in their facility, which includes 117 private rooms with baths, TV lounges, a library, a chapel, a fitness room and a 24-hour laundry room. The Doorways partners with VCU Health, Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Virginia Treatment Center for Children, Sheltering Arms Hospital and Veritas Collaborative. We’re proud of our HR team members for partnering with The Doorways!
