Abberly CenterPointe Volunteers with Chesterfield CASA

SHARE

At HHHunt, our brand promise to be an engaged community partner drives us to actively seek opportunities to serve and strengthen the communities where we live and work. This month, our team at Abberly CenterPointe in Midlothian, VA, focused their efforts on supporting Chesterfield CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) through donations and engaging resident events.

Moving Materials Collection for a Meaningful Mission

We don’t wait for volunteer opportunities; we pursue them. When the team at Abberly CenterPointe reached out to CASA to ask how they could help, they learned the organization was preparing to relocate and needed moving supplies. The community responded by launching a “Moving Materials Collection”, gathering boxes and packing materials from residents to ease the transition. What started as a simple outreach conversation quickly became timely, practical support.

The Moving Materials Collection is just one example of Abberly CenterPointe’s continued partnership with CASA. The team also recently hosted a soup dinner to raise both funds and awareness for the organization.

Raising Awareness with “Soup’er Thursday”

During the “Soup’er Thursday” resident event, the Abberly CenterPointe team planned and prepared a variety of homemade soups that residents could purchase as meal options, with all proceeds donated directly to CASA. The event raised $165 — enough to support a child for an entire month!

In addition to fundraising, the team invited a CASA representative to attend and share more about the organization’s work. Residents gained firsthand insight into how CASA advocates make a lasting difference in children’s lives. The partnership between Abberly CenterPointe and CASA continues to have an impact on children and families in our community.

Patterson Rogers, the Executive Director of Chesterfield CASA, shared, “Abberly CenterPointe’s partnership means so much to all of us at Chesterfield CASA. Their generosity and commitment have helped us expand our outreach and strengthen our ability to advocate for safe, permanent homes for abused and neglected children in Chesterfield County and Colonial Heights."

About Chesterfield CASA
