August 21st is one of our favorite days of the year: National Senior Citizens Day! We love this special day because it honors our seniors and recognizes their contributions to our local communities. We’re excited to showcase our amazing Spring Arbor residents!
In honor of this special day, we are highlighting two of our residents who have accomplished extraordinary milestones.
Cora Lee, who along with three other Spring Arbor of Albemarle residents, competed in the 2016 Uwharrie Senior Games, which is part of the North Carolina Senior Games. Cora took home several medals including a Silver in Bocce Ball and a Gold in Checkers!
Charlie Ott, who lives at Spring Arbor of Greensboro, won the 2nd Annual Senior SMART Holiday Contest for his “Winter Scene” painting. Charlie was one of 368 entries, and more than 2,500 votes were cast in the 2015 competition.
Whether it’s reading with a child, tending to a flower garden or creating new works of art, Spring Arbor seniors are always doing something fun! That’s because we believe it’s how you live that matters, and our team of compassionate professionals makes Spring Arbor a place where residents are celebrated every day!
Make sure to tell all the special seniors in your life that they are appreciated and loved. This is their day!
