We’re proud to call the communities where we live and work our home. For over 50 years, HHHunt has expanded throughout the Mid-Atlantic and we’ve got lots of community pride! That pride is one of the reasons that we’re highlighting specific towns and cities as part of our ongoing Local Showcase series.
Today, we’re stopping by Charleston, South Carolina! As the oldest and largest city in the state, Charleston is rich in history and known for its flavors, sights, sounds and traditions that are unique to this southern city.
There is always something to do in Charleston. The thriving city is home to charming cobblestone streets, guided walking and horse-drawn carriage tours, beautiful parks, gardens, museums, mansions, and so much more. Historic downtown Charleston is a favorite spot where you can find the iconic strip of colorful homes known as Rainbow Row, the College of Charleston, and King Street. And, if you’re a history buff, then a visit to Fort Sumter is a must. Located in Charleston Harbor, Fort Sumter is the site of the first shots fired in the Civil War. The South Carolina Aquarium is one of the most visited aquariums in the country and showcases more than 5,000 wild animals. The Sea Turtle Care Center is a popular area of the museum. During the summer, there is no better place to relax and soak up the sun than one of the numerous islands surrounding Charleston. There truly is always something to do!
