July 10, 2026 - U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner and U.S. Congressman Rob Wittman, who represents Virginia’s 1st Congressional District, toured Edgebrook by HHHunt, a master-planned community in Glen Allen, Virginia, to see a development delivering market-rate housing priced below the median home sales price in Henrico County.

During the visit, they toured HHHunt Homes’ 16-foot townhome, featuring the Harper floor plan, and learned about the community’s 20-foot townhomes, the Amherst and Haywood floor plans. The Harper offers 1,482 st. ft. with three bedrooms, three-and-a-half baths and a one-car garage. The Amherst and the Haywood will offer 1,540 sq. ft. with three to four bedrooms, two-and-a-half to three-and-a-half baths and a two-car garage.

Following the tour, the group gathered at River Mill by HHHunt in Glen Allen, where HUD hosted a roundtable discussion focused on housing accessibility. Secretary Turner, Congressman Wittman, and representatives from HHHunt joined real estate professionals, bankers and developers to discuss ways to increase housing and expand access to affordable homeownership across the region. The conversation included the sharing of state and local best practices, the cost of regulation, the time it takes to get to market, local pushback on zoning and density to allow more home construction, and the need for more coordination and less duplication related to permits required by federal, state and local agencies.

HHHunt was honored to host Secretary Turner and Congressman Wittman at Edgebrook and to gather alongside industry leaders at HUD’s roundtable discussion for a meaningful conversation about housing.
