Volunteering Across Our Communities | June 2026

At HHHunt, being an engaged community partner is about using our time, talents and resources to make a positive difference in the lives of others. Every act of giving, no matter how big or small, helps strengthen our communities and create lasting impact. Here’s a look at how our teams gave back throughout June.

Helping People Begin a New Chapter

On June 1, the Home Builder Services (HBS) team stepped away from their desks to support the local community. The team partnered with Housing Families First, an organization dedicated to helping families on their path to permanent housing. The HBS team spent the afternoon packing essential snack bags for parents and children moving into stable homes. Their time and effort helped provide encouragement to families as they begin a new chapter.

“HHHunt emphasizes the idea that it's how you live that matters. That's just as true at Housing Families First's Hilliard House shelter as it is in one of HHHunt's communities. Families often come to Housing Families First feeling anxious and exhausted from not knowing if or when they'd find a place to stay. Our goal is to make Hilliard House a safe, welcoming, and supportive stopover for families as they work to get back into homes of their own. Creating that sense of safety and support begins from the moment they arrive, when we welcome them with snack bags like the ones that the HHHunt team recently packed and delivered to our campus. A snack bag helps to calm nerves for kids and adults alike, serving as a small symbol that lets the family know everything is going to be alright,” - Beth Vann-Turnbull, Executive Director.

Nourishing Our Community

The HHHunt Communities team spent three hours lending a hand at the Chesterfield Food Bank. They helped package meat to be distributed throughout the community. Their service supported the Chesterfield Food Bank’s vision “to nourish and strengthen the community”. Every package prepared represented another step toward putting a meal on the table for someone in need.

“Each month, the Chesterfield Food Bank serves more than 600 families through eight food distributions, and we simply couldn’t do it without our volunteers. The demand is great, but we’re able to meet the needs of our community thanks to the generosity of people and organizations like HHHunt.” - Connie Kormanec, Client Advocate.

Creating Welcoming Spaces

With a few paintbrushes, a lot of teamwork and a goal to give back, the Abberly Market Point team joined fellow members of the Upper State Apartment Association’s GIVE Committee to volunteer at Front Porch Housing. Together, they spent the day sanding and painting to refresh the community. Front Porch Housing is a housing program that helps individuals experiencing a housing crisis by providing a variety of services. The team’s efforts were a meaningful way to support this organization.
