We strive to live our brand promises and values every day at HHHunt. We are committed to being a provider of quality products and services by delivering exceptional homes and staying customer focused in everything we do. Just as important is our commitment to being an engaged community partner. What does “engaged community partner” mean? To us, that means showing up in the communities we serve through meaningful volunteer efforts and strong local partnerships. Here’s a look at how our team members gave back across the Southeast throughout May.

In Charlotte, the Abberly NoDa Vista team coordinated a pet donation drive to support The Humane Society of Charlotte. Thanks to the generosity of the residents, 98 items, including food, toys, treats and other supplies, were collected to keep happy tails wagging! At HHHunt, we know pets are part of the family too, which is why we strive to create welcoming, breed-restriction-free communities. These donations helped extend that care to pets throughout the local area.
The Abberly NoDa Vista team went above and beyond this month to show what it means to be an engaged community partner. In addition to organizing the donation drive, half of the team also volunteered with Second Harvest Food Bank to prepare meals for families in need. Thank you to the team for making a positive difference in Charlotte.

In Ladson, the Abberly Crossing team found a creative way to raise money for local pets by hosting a Paint and Sip donation event benefiting Libby and Mace’s Place Rescue. Residents joined in the fun by bringing a 10-pound bag of dog or cat food or making a financial contribution to participate in the guided paint night. The event unleashed our residents' creativity and gave the community a chance to celebrate Leasing Consultant Christina’s birthday together. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to support rescue animals while showcasing their painting skills.
The generosity continued in West Columbia, where the Abberly Village team hosted its annual bake sale benefiting March of Dimes. The community raised $366 through delicious homemade baked goods and donations. March of Dimes is an organization that promotes the health of moms and babies through research, education and advocacy efforts. This bake sale is another example of the creative approaches our teams take when giving back.
In Manassas, VA, the Abberly Avera team demonstrated that even one person can make a significant impact. One team member stepped up to volunteer with Folds of Honor during the Col. Gary “Gumby” West Invitational golf fundraiser. Working alongside a small group of volunteers, they assisted with check-in, raffles and anything else needed both on and off the course to help the event move smoothly. Since 2007, Folds of Honor has “provided life-changing educational scholarships to the spouses and children of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders.” Their mission aligns with our commitment to support Hometown Heroes, and we are proud of our team member for taking the initiative to help out.

In Nashville, the Abberly Foundry team headed outdoors to volunteer at the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics Tennessee Summer Games. The team worked at the merchandise stand, putting their sales and marketing skills to good use to raise more than $4,000 in merchandise sales. Special Olympics Tennessee provides year-round sports programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities that help build confidence and leadership through competition. We are proud to support an important organization that empowers athletes and creates impactful opportunities for everyone.
Summer can be a difficult time for many children who rely on school programs for daily meals and snacks. Recent funding cuts have impacted local summer snack programs in North Carolina, leaving many children without reliable access to food while school is out. To help ease that burden, the Abberly Royal Creek team in Raleigh hosted a summer food drive benefiting local students. Residents donated individually wrapped, kid-friendly snacks, while the leasing team contributed Royal Creek lunch bags. It is wonderful to see our community come together to lend a hand to students during the difficult summer months.

The impact did not stop there! The Abberly Royal Creek team also volunteered with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina, packing 24,000 pounds of food to make more than 20,000 meals for families in need. Beyond making connections and spending a fun day serving together, the team created a lasting difference for families across the state. Thank you to the team for demonstrating what it means to be an engaged community partner this May.

Community impact continued as the HHHunt Properties Construction team also volunteered with the Food Bank of Central & Eastern North Carolina. Team members spent the day sorting sweet potatoes for distribution to local families, helping generate 23,833 meals for those in need. Their efforts demonstrate how teamwork can create a difference both on and off the jobsite.

In Goochland County, members of the HHHunt Finance, Accounting and Corporate Brand teams spent the day volunteering with GoochlandCares. The team sorted donations for the Clothing Closet, stocked and organized the Food Pantry, packed USDA food bags and assisted with additional organization projects. GoochlandCares “provides essential human services and healthcare for Goochland residents in need through a variety of community programs”. As a longtime corporate partner, we are proud to continue working alongside an organization that makes a powerful impact in our local community.
“We want to give a big thank you to HHHunt. You have made a huge impact. What you’ve done today will have a very quick turnaround to improving someone’s life.” - Rhonda Weaver, Clothes Closet Manager.
