At HHHunt, we’re thrilled that summer is finally here! What’s not to love? The longer days give everyone more time to do the things they enjoy. For us, that’s focusing on a healthy lifestyle! We believe it’s how you live that matters and want to help you make the most of your wellness routine this summer in your home or apartment community. Check out our top tips:
Stay Hydrated: Whether you’re working out indoors or outdoors, drink plenty of fluids to replenish the electrolytes and salt you’ll lose while being active. Drink one or two glasses of water before activity; drink water every 15 minutes during activity; and one to two glasses after your activity.
Indoor Workouts: As temperatures climb higher and higher, indoor workouts can be more practical. A simple workout at home can keep you from becoming overheated in the summer temperatures. HHHunt Apartment Living communities make it easy for residents to enjoy indoor workouts by including fitness centers within the community. Residents can try cardio and weight training stations or visit a private studio for Pilates, yoga and Fitness on Demand technology.
Protect Your Skin: Our new home and planned communities have lots of great green spaces. If you’re heading outside, grab a hat to shade your face and keep your head cool. Make sure to apply sunscreen at least 15 minutes before sun exposure and enough to cover all exposed skin. Using a sunscreen that’s at least SPF 45 and reapplying every two hours will keep your skin from burning.
Outdoor Workouts: Outdoor fitness is still enjoyable in the summer! Try scheduling your outdoor activities outside of 10 am to 5 pm, when temperatures are at their highest. You’ll find cooler temperatures during early morning and close to sunset. Many of our new home, planned, and apartment communities offer invigorating swimming pools for relaxing after a vigorous workout.
Pool Safety: Speaking of pools, is there anything better than a dip in a refreshing pool? Pools are fun, but it’s important to follow basic safety rules while at the pool. We have several must-know tips in this blog post.
We believe wellness matters and strive to provide our homeowners and residents with wellness tips to help make the most of summer. Have your own wellness tips to share? We’d love to hear them on our Facebook page. Stay cool and safe!
