We’re so proud of the many amazing team members at HHHunt who live our vision of improving the world and how people live.
Randy Jackson, Executive Director at Spring Arbor of Kinston in Kinston, North Carolina, is one such example.
Randy has been working in the senior living industry for more than 15 years and is devoted to giving back to the community. Many describe him as a philanthropist who doesn’t want to be in the spotlight, but participates and gives back to the community because he truly cares.
He works very closely with Lenoir County Public Schools in their work-based learning program. Randy believes it’s important to work with the younger generation to help them understand the important role of assisted living and memory care communities. Last year, Randy invited more than 100 health science students from North Lenoir High School to Spring Arbor of Kinston for a Virtual Dementia Tour. He had the students put on special goggles that impaired their vision, gloves that reduced sensation, and headphones to simulate hearing loss. The exercise was intended to demonstrate for the students what an average day is like in the life of a resident with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
As a testament to Randy’s dedication and passion for educating others about senior living, he was recently awarded with the North Carolina Assisted Living Association’s 2015 Community Leadership Award. Randy is a wonderful mentor and incredible role model. His enthusiasm and excitement is an inspiration to everyone who has the benefit of working with him and we congratulate him on this well-deserved award.
