Season of Giving is Alive and Well at HHHunt

At HHHunt, one of our central Brand Promises is to be an Engaged Community Partner. Every day, our team members look for new ways to give back to our local communities in Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. As the season of giving approaches, we wanted to share a few stories of how HHHunt is “Improving the World and How People Live.”

Fourth Annual Food Drive

Over the past month, all our divisions have been participating in the HHHunt Food Drive. This annual event has become a tradition for our team members, homeowners, residents and family members. According to Feed America, more than 37 million Americans struggle with hunger, of which 11 million are children. Partnering with local food banks across our footprint, we have been collecting canned and non-perishable food items for those who struggle with food insecurity. For every item donated, HHHunt makes a $1 donation to the local food bank as well. This year we were able to donate over 15,000 food items and over $15,000 to help stop hunger in our communities.

Habitat for Humanity Home in Goochland County

Earlier this week, HHHunt announced that work was completed on the Habitat for Humanity house in Goochland County, Virginia. HHHunt is proud to partner with Habitat for Humanity and was excited to serve as the signature sponsor for the construction of Habitat for Humanity of Goochland’s 25th home. In addition to providing financial support and in-kind donations, the sponsorship gave our team the opportunity to volunteer and make a real difference in the life of the Habitat sponsor family. Over 37 team members volunteered to help on this project to ensure that the family could move into their new home before the holidays.

Wreaths Across America

The team at Abberly Pointe in Beaufort, South Carolina is once again participating in Wreaths Across America as a sponsor. Wreaths Across America honors American heroes across the country with a wreath laying ceremony at places where we can remember, honor and teach others about our veterans. These areas include cemeteries, monuments and parks. The wreaths will be laid at the headstones of American military personnel at Beaufort National Cemetery on December 14.

These are just a few examples of the incredible contributions that our team members are making in our local communities. At HHHunt, we believe it’s how you live that matters and invite you to find your own unique way of giving back to your community as well.
