Living our Promise to be An Engaged Community Partner

CommunityMaking a positive difference in the lives of others is at the heart of who we are at HHHunt. Our vision to improve the world and how people live and our promise to be an engaged community partner are more than just words, they are a commitment. Earlier this month, team members from HHHunt Homes, HHHunt Communities, The Gardens at Twin Hickory and HHHunt’s Business Technology Services embraced that commitment with a dual effort volunteer initiative for Safe Harbor.

Safe Harbor was founded in 2000 to provide safe housing and counseling services free of charge to anyone who has experienced sexual and domestic violence regardless of race, gender, age, national origin, gender identity or expression, faith, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity and geographic location. HHHunt reached out to Safe Harbor and identified both a need for physical improvements to the shelter as well as donations of food, personal items and household items.

CommunityThe HHHunt team volunteered at Safe Harbor over a two-day period to paint, assemble furniture, sand floors, and install new fixtures. Additionally, HHHunt Homes coordinated with local trade partners to undertake major plumbing, HVAC, and structural needs. The Gardens at Twin Hickory team worked with Rent Path to set up donation boxes in the community and around the West End of Richmond to collect food and various sundries for Safe Harbor.
We believe that it’s How You Live that Matters which is why we are proud to support amazing organizations like Safe Harbor that do so much good in our communities.
