We recently caught up with Jonathan Ridout, Vice President of Land Development for HHHunt Communities, to chat about the hottest community amenities for 2019:
Q: What community amenities do you anticipate will be most popular in 2019?
Jonathan: Outdoor living is something homeowners will continue to be excited about in 2019! Amenities such as swimming pools, open green spaces, fire pits and walking trails provide homeowners with a great way to enjoy the outdoors and get out in their community.
Q: What is the primary focus for HHHunt Communities when designing amenities in master-planned communities?
Jonathan: We see each community as unique and different, so no two communities will have the same amenity design. We carefully look at national and market-specific studies, surveys and data to determine homeowners’ preferences related to amenities and then let the planning go from there. Additionally, we heavily rely on the land itself to guide us in this process to ensure we utilize the natural resources that are already in place.
Q: How do amenities in HHHunt communities reflect the #HowYouLive lifestyle?
Jonathan: Just as each homeowner’s lifestyle is unique to them, the lifestyle amenities that we offer in each community are too. We believe it’s how you live that matters, so it is our job to design amenities that intermix with the homes and are easily accessible to the entire community.
Q: What amenities will HHHunt Communities introduce in 2019?
Jonathan: We are excited to bring on Mill Park at River Mill! This amenity includes a covered pavilion with bathrooms, walking trails, outdoor kitchen areas, outdoor seating with a firepit, a first-of-its-kind hammock garden, open lawn areas and a community garden. There is truly something for everyone! In 2019, we also hope to start construction on the River Mill clubhouse, pool and amphitheater amenities that we expect to complete in 2020.
