We’re proud to announce that HHHunt broke ground on our first community completely dedicated to memory care! We were joined by a few of our community partners to celebrate the groundbreaking of Spring Arbor of Salisbury Memory Care in Midlothian, Virginia on Thursday, September 24, 2015.
Scheduled to open in the fall of 2016, the 48,275-square foot building is adjacent to Spring Arbor of Salisbury, one of HHHunt’s six existing senior living communities in Virginia. We opened our first senior living community in North Carolina in 1992. Our Senior Living division continues to grow and today we own and manage 21 Spring Arbor communities in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, with more in various stages of development.
“The demand for memory care has been increasing at a rapid pace,” said Sally Sperberg, Executive Director for Spring Arbor of Salisbury. “This new community will be able to accommodate 48 residents and add approximately 40 new Spring Arbor team members who have extensive training in the areas of Alzheimer’s and dementia.”
The community will place great emphasis on resident activities, such as art and music programs and continue its successful “Art from the Heart” program. This vibrant arts program provides residents with an outlet for their own unique creativity and allows them to enjoy meaningful communication and expression through their art.
The vision of HHHunt is to improve the world and how people live. By providing respectful, caring and compassionate care to those in need, Spring Arbor team members are living that vision each and every day. Sally also noted, “We are fortunate to have the support of amazing community partners who share our vision, such as the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, the Richmond Alzheimer’s Association and our dedicated local EMS providers. “
