Enhancing the lives of residents at our senior living communities is an important part of our team’s commitment to fulfill HHHunt’s mission of improving the world and how people live. At our Spring Arbor communities in Virginia, North Carolina and Maryland, our memory care team members and residents came together on the summer solstice to participate in the Alzheimer’s Association’s The Longest Day initiative.
The Longest Day supports those affected by Alzheimer’s and dementia and serves as a way to bring greater awareness to these diseases. Take a look at how two of our Spring Arbor communities rallied for their residents on the Longest Day through various activities.
Bringing awareness to Alzheimer’s disease is very important to the Spring Arbor Cottage of Richmond team. As part of The Longest Day initiative, the team coordinated a “Rock Out Alzheimer’s” fundraiser featuring delicious barbecue, drinks and local band, the Jangling Reinharts. The team was thrilled to exceed their goal by raising close to $3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association!
The team at Spring Arbor of Winchester was proud to host an all-day music festival on The Longest Day. Performers and a DJ donated their time and talent for a fun-filled day of movement activities, games, contests and food. Each resident received a commemorative event t-shirt created by the family of a former resident.
We believe it’s how you live that matters. Working together to improve the lives of our Spring Arbor residents helps us achieve this goal. Thank you to all our Spring Arbor communities for your commitment to helping end Alzheimer’s.
