September 28th is a special day to us at HHHunt because it’s National Good Neighbor Day! We have the best residents and homeowners in our apartment communities, new home neighborhoods, and senior living communities. It’s exciting to see neighbors creating meaningful experiences and spending time with one another. After all, it’s how you live that matters!
Every day, we hear inspiring and touching stories about how HHHunt neighbors come together to support each other and their local communities. From a simple welcoming hello to stories about neighbors working together to plant a community garden or find a lost pet, we are constantly reminded about the power of good neighbors.
For instance, HHHunt team members and neighbors in Raleigh, North Carolina recently partnered with the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle and volunteered at the Tryon Teaching Farm, which distributes food to neighbors in need. Additionally, neighbors in our Rutland community in Hanover County, Virginia, organize and participate in the annual Turkey Bowl, a Thanksgiving weekend tradition of playing flag football and raising money for the Hanover County Sheriff’s Department.
Good neighbors often become friends who watch out for each other, lend a helping hand, and are there for advice when asked. Whether you are living in an apartment, neighborhood or senior living community, establishing friendships with neighbors is important.
We hope that you have a great day celebrating National Good Neighbor Day! We invite you to share your favorite story about what makes your neighborhood and neighbors special on our Facebook page!
